1. What did you do this past week?

In the past week, I finally finished project 2 Voting. Even though I have a lot of trouble at the end of the project and have to use late tokens for it, I think I learned a lot from it, especially the estimated time to complete the next project. Outside of class, I played volleyball with friends and got my first playoff win with my IM team.

2. What’s in your way?

Definitely time management. I wasn’t realized I have some project/assignment due at the same time until it was too late and I have to use the late token. I also stuck on an assignment for way too long and ended up going in the wrong direction.

3. What will you do next week?

I will read through each project/assignment throughout before attempting to do it. In addition, I will make a plan and time slot for each one and go to office hours or post on the piazza in case I got lost.

4. What did you think of Paper #7: Liskov Substitution Principle?

The Liskov Substitution Principle is built up from the past two principles from previous papers. It is definitely a rule I would violate in some cases and now I know how dangerous it is I will pay more attention to the class structure and make more tests.

5. What was your experience of consts, arrays, and equal?

It was really helpful and clear to learn more about those terms. It definitely better to identify the type as read-only or read-write. I have some knowledge in how to generalize a function using typename but it was a good review.

6. What made you happy this week?

I’m happy this week because I got a win on my IM game and we went to an EDM concert in San Marcos on the same day. It was a really eventful day and I have a blast.

7. What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

My pick-of-the-week is Sony and Honda ally to build EVs. I am a big fan of EVs especially since the gasoline price is pumping up. It’s so nice to see all the big car company slowly convert their way to electricity.

Thank you for reading!
